ECS Tuning Billet Aluminum Spherical Dogbone Mount Kit (7-Speed DQ500) - With Billet/Poly Dogbone Insert Bushing

The ECS Tuning Spherical Dogbone / Pendulum Mount Kit is specifically designed for the Audi DQ500 7-Speed DSG-equipped models to drastically reduce wheel hop by controlling the fore/aft motion of the driveline. Our state of the art design starts at a custom machined, billet 6061-T6 aluminum bearing housing that contains a stainless steel, teflon-lined spherical bearing. This bearing replaces the factory-designed rubber bushing, featuring all weather seals that capture the spherical bearing to keep the elements out and keep the bearing operating maintenance-free. Next, our pendulum arm is also machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum to connect the bearing housing to the subframe mounting bushing. Finally, the whole assembly is locked into position using our Billet / Polyurethane Dogbone Mount Insert.

Our Spherical Pendulum Mount Kit allows for smooth power delivery through the driveline and straight to the tires, all with very minimal chassis feedback to balance comfort with performance. A must have for any vehicle driven aggressively! Proudly designed and manufactured in the U.S.A.!

PART DESIGN

• In-house engineered, tested and quality inspected in Wadsworth, Ohio at ECS Tuning headquarters

• Bearing Housing:

  • 6061 aluminum bearing housing with US-sourced stainless steel spherical bearing and Teflon race

  • All-weather rubber seals keep dirt and debris out of the bearing for long-lasting, maintenance-free operation

  • Black anodized finish

• Pendulum Arm:

  • 6061 aluminum arm connects bearing housing to subframe bushing

  • Black anodized finish

• Billet / Polyurethane Dogbone Mount Bushing Insert

  • Black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum mounting plate for durability and corrosion resistance
  • ​90A durometer polyurethane bushing insert features upper subframe bushing engagement, which was specifically engineered to keep loading along the axis of the pendulum arm mount. Some additional levels of NVH should be expected, but we did not find it uncomfortable under most daily driving scenarios.
  • Long-term tested on multiple vehicles for real-world qualification
  • Includes hardware to replace the factory torque-to-yield bolts for the pendulum mount and subframe bushing insert

PERFORMANCE FEATURES

• Enhanced control of the fore/aft movement of the driveline to allow for seamless power transfer to the tires. Wheel hop is decreased, throttle response is improved, and gear engagement is more precise.
