Turner Motorsport E39 540i M62tu Intake - 4" MAF

For many, the E39 is the pinnacle of luxury sedans from BMW. Not suffering from the maintenance challenges of later turbo engines, nor the downsides the higher-strung M5, the 540i offers reliable, comfortable, sporty muscle in a gorgeous package. That said, there's some room for easy improvement in how it performs and sounds.

Not only does the intake sound great and perform well, but it also looks amazing, Like any Turner Motorsport project, their M62TU intake* is CAD designed by an in-house team of engineers - and it shows. The heat shield is wrinkle black powder coated CNC aluminum - featuring pre installed edge trim and a Turner brand plate. The heat shield is held to tight tolerances to keep hot engine bay air away from the intake, while retaining factory air inlet scoop compatibility to bring in cool, fresh air. Turner's intake also features a 6061-T6 CNC machined aluminum MAF housing that maintains factory MAF scaling. Lastly, the blue Turner filter is cleanable and reusable - featuring 8 ply oiled cotton gauze and a bell mouth inlet to maximize flow and filtration efficiency.

*Turner's Test vehicle was equipped with a Dud Stage 2 Tune and works with stock or N62 throttle bodies
