ECS Tuning 4M SQ7 Luft-Technik Intake System

The ECS Tuning Carbon Fiber Intake for the 4M SQ7 is not just a performance upgrade; it's a masterpiece under the hood. Our innovative design replaces the factory panel filter with dual cone filters, resulting in improved airflow and an intoxicating induction and turbo sound.

The cool air travels through the cone filters into our upgraded turbo inlets. The heat shield is crafted from beautiful gloss carbon fiber. Sealing against the hood, the shroud seamlessly merges with the OEM ram air duct, channeling cool outside air directly to the filters. The end result of all this is an intake system that combines fitment, quality, and performance into one stunning package that will make a statement in your engine bay!

PART DESIGN

• Heat Shield:
  • Gloss 2x2 twill carbon fiber
  • Integrated into the OEM ram air vent
  • Reflective heat tape on the underside to mitigate heat radiation
  • Bulb seal to create a perfect seal on the hood in the extremely tight engine bay
  • Wrinkle black mounting bracket
• Air Filters:
  • Twin "Elliptical Cone" air filters
  • Equivalent surface area to a 6.5" OD conical filter
  • Red oiled cotton construction
• Turbo Inlets:
  • Eliminates blockages present in the OEM turbo inlets
  • Lower pressure ratio by reducing inlet pressure drop
  • Billet aluminum face seal flanges on the turbo side
  • Slotted lower mounting holes on the flanges for easy install
• Silicone Couplers:
  • Create a smooth transition from the filters to turbo inlets
  • Eliminate turbulence caused by accordion plastic flex tubes
• Engine Heat Shield & Cover Bracket:
  • Designed and engineered in-house using state-of-the-art 3D laser scanning and CAD technology for precision fitment.
  • Allows the stock engine heat shield and Beauty cover to be retained 
  • Mounting provisions to allow the stock oil filler cap to be used

PERFORMANCE FEATURES

Flow bench tested on our in-house Superflow SF-750 Flowbench. We observed a 42% gain over the stock intake system!

Our ECS Kohlefaser Luft-Technik was designed, engineered, tested, and quality inspected by our Research and Development team in our Wadsworth, Ohio facility. We strive for the highest level of precision and quality through leading-edge product development technology, including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer, and rigorous long-term product testing.
