Due to oversized airboxes, flow-limiting paper air filters, and restrictive charcoal pre-filters, airflow is compromised, limiting both performance and induction noise. The result? Our Luft-Technik design begins with dual aluminum inlet tubes, finished in a durable wrinkle black powder coat for exceptional resilience and a bold, yet subtle aesthetic. Engineered using CAD modeling, these inlets ensure precise MAF scaling to match factory specifications, maintaining factory AFRs for reliability and efficiency. The ovular shape provides ample clearance around the fan shroud, cooling hoses, and hood while optimizing available space for a large, free-flowing air intake path to maximize performance. The crossover tube is thoughtfully designed with standoffs for secure heat exchanger return hose mounting, along with a precision-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum MAF flange and vacuum port for seamless integration.

To protect the inlet tubes from latent engine bay heat, our Luft-Technik Performance Intake System uses aluminum heat shields with rubber edge trim. These shields create a tight seal against the hood, effectively blocking warm air from entering the intake tract and keeping cool air inside each box. By minimizing heat intrusion, our design helps to lower intake air temperatures (IATs), increases air density, and prevents heat soaking. In short, our design ensures consistent, high-performance airflow even under demanding driving conditions. The result is improved throttle response, enhanced turbo efficiency, and a more exhilarating driving experience.

Our F8X S55 Luft-Technik Performance Intake System was designed, engineered, tested, and quality inspected by our Research and Development team in our Wadsworth, Ohio facility. We strive for the highest level of precision and quality through leading-edge product development technology including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer, and rigorous long-term product testing.
