ECS Tuning MK7/MK7.5 GTI/Golf R Functional Aerodynamic Front Splitter

The ECS Tuning MK7 & MK7.5 GTI / R Aerodynamic Front Splitter combines function, form and aesthetics to provide an increase in downforce to the frontend to maximize cornering grip. To design our ECS Aero splitter we started by 3D scanning our shop MK7 GTI. Then a 3D model of the full car was created in CAD utilizing our scan data. To further develop and tune our diffuser we utilized CFD analysis to find the best possible balance between downforce and drag, while minimizing flow separation. This results in more consistent splitter performance across a wide range of conditions, ride heights and suspension setups.

Meticulously designed to provide maximum downforce with minimal drag and minimize weight. The gloss black ABS front splitter weighs in at just 18lbs and is chassis mounted with additional aluminum bracing for minimal flex at any speed.

Pair this splitter with our Front Street Shield Skid Plate to improve efficiency (ES#2986429 for GTI or ES#4477688 for Golf R), or utilize our Ultimate Street Shield Kit to maximize efficiency (ES#4485271 for GTI or ES#4485268 for Golf R).

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT:

• Our ECS Functional Aerodynamic Front Splitter Kit was designed, engineered, tested and quality inspected by our Research and Development team in our Wadsworth, Ohio facility. We tested several version of this front splitter and various speeds to bring the perfect combination of performance, durability, and looks. We strive for the highest level of precision and quality through leading-edge product development technology including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer, and rigorous long term product testing.
