A leaking gasket can cause headaches down the road, usually when you least expect it. The N52 engine can suffer a particularly troublesome leak around the oil filter housing gasket. Generally seen as something to keep an eye on, this is not something that should be put off.

At this point, the only option would be to call a tow truck and consider how preventative maintenance could have avoided these problems.
