ECS Tuning S65 Upgraded Throttle Body Actuator Set

The factory-installed plastic gears in S65 throttle body actuators are prone to degradation due to constant mechanical stress, vibration, and heat cycling. After years of use, internal actuator gear wear leads to excessive play, improper throttle response, and eventual failure—often triggering DME trouble codes, limp mode, and DSC malfunctions. Even high-quality OE replacement units will experience the same failure in due time.

We've engineered a high-quality replacement for the internal actuator gears to solve this issue. ECS Upgraded Throttle Body Actuator Gears are constructed from durable Teflon-reinforced nylon, safeguarding gear teeth from wear and ensuring long-term reliability. Each gear is pre-installed on a new 4140 steel shaft, providing further protection from premature actuator failure.

Servicing actuator internals can be daunting, especially with the complexity found inside S65 throttle body actuators. With this in mind, we’ve designed a comprehensive plug-and-play replacement kit. It includes two brand-new OEM Continental/VDO throttle body actuator assemblies, rebuilt with upgraded ECS gears and shafts to ensure easier installation and improved reliability. Unlike rebuilt actuators, this kit helps prevent electrical failures, safeguarding you from further failure modes.
