When Turner developed their short shifter, their goal was to improve the BMW shifter assembly and increase the precision and smoothness of the overall operation. Given how well customers have responded to Turner's Short Shift Kit, it only made sense to pursue this goal to perfection. Turner developed these in association with Rennline to provide a robust, durable, and great looking DSSR. Turner Motorsport's Dual Shear Selector Rod will reduce flexibility in the selector rod. Less flex in the selector rod means a more precise shift. The OEM selector could flex and twist a lot reducing the precision of the shift when selecting a gear.

Introducing the Turner Motorsport E9x DSSR for your M3. Turner's DSSR completely removes all the slop that is present in the BMW stock shifter. Paired with Turner's short shift kit, the shifts are even more accurate and precise with little to no increase in effort. This DSSR is meant for BMW E9x models that have the selector rod 25112283048 and selector joint 25117533057.

Even after a shifter rebuild or installation, some slop can often still be felt in the shifter. The shift selector rod may deflect and cause shifter slop. By eliminating the one slide slip through design, shifts feel more crisp. Machined to extremely tight tolerances, this rod evenly distributes load and eliminates that free play.
