Turner Motorsport N52 Air Intake System

E9x vehicles equipped with the N52 powerplant are a great blend between modern BMW styling and comfort with the trademark smooth, linear pull that comes from BMW's beautifully engineered inline six powerplant. We love forced induction BMWs, but there's something innately pure about the NA power BMW was able to produce in these cars. No, they're not the fastest, but they are reliable and extremely balanced. 

Recognizing the appeal of the naturally aspirated N52 powered E9x vehicles, Turner Motorsport developed in an intake to make you fall in love with your BMW again. The N52 engine never sounded this good. Turner's intake effectively eliminates restriction caused by the factory airbox, especially in the top end. This combined with increased air flow allows for gains of up to  9 WHP and 13 WTQ down low in the power band. 

Not only does the intake sound great and perform well, but it also looks amazing, Like any Turner Motorsport project, their N52 intake is CAD designed by an in-house team of engineers - and it shows. The heat shield is wrinkle black powder coated CNC aluminum - featuring pre installed edge trim and a Turner brand plate. The heat shield is held to tight tolerances to keep hot engine bay air away from the intake, while retaining factory air inlet scoop compatibility to bring in cool, fresh air. Turner's intake also features a 6061-T6 CNC machined aluminum MAF housing that maintains factory MAF scaling. Lastly, the blue Turner filter is cleanable and reusable - featuring 8 ply oiled cotton gauze and a bell mouth inlet to maximize flow and filtration efficiency.
