ECS Tuning Adjustable Short Shift Kit - For 5-Speed Manual Transmissions

At last, a short shifter that gives your 5-Speed VW choices! In house engineered and manufactured in America with precision quality and focus to detail! The ECS Adjustable Short Shifter Kit comes with five balancing weights that can be bolted on to the shift pivot arm or removed as needed to adjust shift feel. These weights fix the problem of lesser short shift kits, which leave the lever feeling vague and disconnected.

Reduce shift throws by 40, 20 percent, or leave them stock using one of the three pre-drilled adjustment holes. Make adjustments under the hood quickly and experiment until you find the best combination of throw and shift feel for your driving habits. We are partial to using the maximum amount of counter weights and leaving the shifter at the shortest throw for best performance. This offers good, positive feeling shift motion with a "click-type" shifter engagement .

Our shift lever arm and counterweight bracket are both CNC manufactured from mild steel and then plated in a high quality black zinc-chromate finish for excellent corrosion resistance. The kit comes with a billet 304 stainless steel shifter pin in 10.0mm size for factory-like fitment and the counterweight hardware is high quality 18-8 stainless steel.

To determine if this kit is the correct application for your car, first find your factory shift lever assembly located on the top of your transmission. The lever is visible by looking below your airbox and battery. Inspect the stock cable linkage that connects to the factory lever. If the shifter cable end has a round stainless steel clip on top, then your car has a pin stud mount and this is the correct kit for your car.
