The factory plastic blend door pin on VW MK4 Golf / Jetta models will become brittle over all of its years in service and may break when faced with extended duty cycles. This is a common failure point on many models of this era due to small tabs that can break, causing the blend door to no longer function.
Sadly the OEM part is no longer available, so the Engineering Team at ECS Tuning came out with a replacement that's even better than the OEM version! Made from a billet block of 6061-T6 aluminum, our Blend Door Pin will not fail or back out like the OEM plastic version. We designed our pin with a 360° retention feature that creates complete interference while installing it, unlike the factory piece with 2 brittle, plastic tabs. Once fully seated our blend door pin rotates freely and is locked securely into place without worry of any future failures.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Our ECS Blend Door Support Pin Assembly was designed, engineered, tested and quality inspected by our Research and Development team in our Wadsworth, Ohio facility. We strive for the highest level of precision and quality through leading edge product development technology including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modelling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer, and rigorous long term product testing.
INSTALLATION AND SUPPORT
Our Blend Door Support Pin installs in place of the OEM plastic drive pin. We put together a full installation tutorial from start to finish including removal of the OEM pin and installation tricks and tips with ours. See our Installation PDF under the INSTALLATION Tab for more information.
Please note, this is for vehicles with manual climate control systems only. If you have manual adjustment Heat / A/C knobs, you have manual climate control.

All products sold by Eurosport Performance are warrantied against manufacturing defects according to the manufacturer's warranty policy*. Warranty does not cover abuse, misuse, damages caused from improper manipulation, normal wear and tear, improper installation, or damages resulting from racing. Warranties only apply to the original owner. If a product is found defective, the customer will receive, at the discretion of Eurosport Performance, a replacement part at no extra cost.
