DESCRIPTION

Audi considers the timing chains on the 2.0T to be a lifetime item, that doesn't need to be replaced. However, enthusiasts tend to know a little better. With no service interval to go by, you have to rely on common symptoms for diagnosis. Symptoms include chain slap, due to worn tensioners and guides, causing a €œmarbles in a can € sound. Failed chain guides can cause the chains to jump, and potentially snap. Since the 2.0T  is an interference motor, a snapped or jumped chain means that valves can contact the pistons and cause catastrophic engine failure. Kit includes: Note: It is recommended to replace the lower timing cover as it's easily bent during removal. This is not included but available as an add-on if desired.  These vary by model year so please verify your order prior to checkout.

All products sold by Eurosport Performance are warrantied against manufacturing defects according to the manufacturer's warranty policy*. Warranty does not cover abuse, misuse, damages caused from improper manipulation, normal wear and tear, improper installation, or damages resulting from racing. Warranties only apply to the original owner. If a product is found defective, the customer will receive, at the discretion of Eurosport Performance, a replacement part at no extra cost.
