With our build-your-own intercooler upgrade kit you get to  choose between our ECS Tuning silicone replacement boost hoses or go all out with our complete intercooler charge pipe kit to replace the power-robbing, undersized tubes from the turbo, to  the throttle body, all to work perfectly with our ECS Tuning In-House Engineered MQB Cast Aluminum Intercooler Upgrade!   INTERCOOLER FEATURES: The ECS Tuning  MQB Cast Aluminum Intercooler Upgrade  boosts power and lowers intercooler outlet temps by maximizing core volume and more efficiently dispelling heat over the OEM sandwich-mounted intercooler. Designed and engineered by our in-house R&D Team to replace the under-performing stock intercooler, our intercooler is more efficient at cooling the turbocharged air  with less pressure drop than stock. The factory  tube and fin intercooler is not up to the task of shedding heat efficiently at higher power levels. If you plan to go above stock boost levels an intercooler upgrade is a must. With our ECS Tuning OE-Location Intercooler Upgrade we recorded lower intercooler outlet temperatures, lower pressure drop  and an increase in cooling system efficiency.   Our design features  high quality cast aluminum end tanks with  integral flow dividers on the intercooler inlet for even flow distribution across our massive 24.5 € x 16.5 € x 2.0 € {808.5 in ³} aluminum bar and plate  core,  which lends to an increase in volume of +39% over the OEM GTI intercooler,  for maximum heat dissipation. Our intercooler was in-house engineered to provide a bolt-on cooling solution for the VW and Audi MQB Gen3 platform. Through our in-house evaluation on our ECS Shop MK7 GTI, we measured a maximum  increase of +20  WHP @ 5,750 RPM and +18 WTQ @ 5,750 RPM along with an increase of +22% in cooling efficiency at redline and -90 ° F. lower intercooler outlet temperatures.     PART DESIGN 3D CAD designed to allow the best placement and larger volume core over stock all while requiring no modifications to your vehicle   Retains all OEM cooling air guides and mounting features. Each kit comes standard with silicone, 4-ply reinforced couplers and heavy duty  Clampco stainless steel  T-Bolt hose clamps for an easy, direct fit replacement that won't blow off!   Capable of withstanding greater heat and higher boost pressure than stock, you can expect to achieve greater reliability, less turbulence and less restriction.     HIGH FLOW INTERCOOLER CHARGE PIPE KIT: The factory MQB Gen3 plastic charge pipes and rubber couplers  were never designed to handle the stress and abuse of higher boost levels  much beyond stock.
