The E9X plastic belly pan is a constant point of impact for potholes, speedbumps, inclines, and road debris. Fortunately, there is usually little damage other than the brittle belly pan, which is still not a cheap expense. The Turner Motorsport Aluminum Skid Plate is the ultimate upgrade for your E9X belly pan replacement woes and will be the last skid plate you ever buy for your E9X! This skid plate is a direct replacement for the OE belly pan, for just a little bit more than the cost of the plastic OE replacement (BMW Part# 51757129341). This Skid Plate is In-house designed & engineered at Turner, to fit just about every rear wheel drive Non-M E9X. The kit includes a heavy-duty mounting bracket and all necessary stainless steel hardware for install is included. This kit is also designed to fit with the OE side skid plates as well while offering massively improved durability over the OE belly pan. An easy access trap door is included as well, to make oil changes a breeze! Finished in your choice of a Milled Finish (ES4057441), or a Wrinkle black powder coat (ES4068790) for a clean underbody look. An M6 RivNut tool (ES3245571) and a 10mm drill bit (ES3612195) are required for install. A 25/64" drill bit can be used if you don't have access to metric drill bits.
