The N55 OE charge pipe is prone to failure, after constant heat cycling, the factory plastic becomes very brittle, leading to cracks and boost leaks, and ultimately entire part failures. The OE charge pipe has also been proven to break once under increased boost pressure. Replace the weak OE charge pipe with the Turner Motorsport N55 Charge pipe for increased air flow, and increased throttle response. You can also safely turn up the boost on your N55 once this kit is installed, and not worry about the problematic factory piece.  The perfect compliment to the increased airflow form the Turner Motorsport charge pipes is a intercooler. Turner Motorsport has developed an intercooler upgrade that is far superior to the stock unit. Constructed from cast aluminum with a bar and plate design, this intercooler increases both cross sectional area and frontal surface area by 56%. This increase in area has shown a 45 degree decrees in intake temperature resulting in 18 wheel horsepower and 10 lb/ft of torque on its own.
