ECS Tuning VW MK8 GTI 2.0T Evo4 Turbo Muffler Delete Pipe

All too often OEM components sacrifice performance in an effort to appeal to a wide variety of customers. While an enthusiast typically wants better boost response and more power, all while hearing the turbocharger breathe, a non-enthusiast may give up these characteristics for a quieter ride. In the case of the factory turbocharger, a turbo muffler is positioned at the compressor outlet and is designed to reduce engine bay acoustics. With the ECS Turbo Muffler Delete Pipe Kit, the factory turbo muffler is removed and replaced with our straight-through, billet aluminum delete pipe. This smooths airflow and  enhances turbocharger working sound by creating a smooth transition between the turbo outlet and intercooler pipe inlet.    PART DESIGN In-house designed and engineered using FARO ARM laser scanning technology and SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling for precision fitment  Manufactured from a single block of 6061-T6 aluminum, then anodized black  Eliminates the factory turbo muffler baffles for smoother airflow and enhanced turbocharger working sound Retains OEM PCV venturi return port  Bolts directly to the compressor outlet flange  ​ PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT​ Our ECS Turbo Muffler Delete Pipe was designed, engineered, tested and quality inspected by our Research and Development team in our Wadsworth, Ohio facility. We strive for the highest level of precision and quality through leading-edge product development technology including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer, and rigorous long term product testing.   INSTALLATION AND SUPPORT This is a direct replacement part to the factory turbo muffler.
