ECS Tuning MK6 Golf R Turbo Muffler Delete Pipe Kit - For OEM Turbo Outlet Pipe

All too often OEM components sacrifice performance in an effort to appeal to a wide variety of customers. While an enthusiast typically wants better boost response and more power, all while hearing the turbocharger breathe, a non-enthusiast may give up these characteristics for a quieter ride.

In the case of the factory turbocharger, a turbo muffler is positioned at the compressor outlet and is designed to reduce engine bay acoustics. With the ECS Turbo Muffler Delete Pipe Kit, the factory turbo muffler is removed and replaced with our straight-through, billet aluminum delete pipe. This smooths airflow and enhances turbocharger working sound by creating a smooth transition between the turbo outlet and intercooler pipe inlet.

PART DESIGN

• In-house designed and engineered using FARO ARM laser scanning technology and SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling for precision fitment

• Turbo Muffler Delete

  • Manufactured from a single block of 6061-T6 aluminum, then anodized black

  • Eliminates the factory turbo muffler baffles for smoother airflow and enhanced turbocharger working sound

  • Bolts directly to the compressor outlet flange

• Turbo Outlet Coupler

  • Manufactured from heavy duty, 3-ply fiberglass reinforced silicone to handle higher temperatures and greater pressure than the stock, squishy rubber hose

  • Designed to resist oil, fuel and electrochemical degradation and tested up to continuous 250° Fahrenheit operating temperature and over 45psi

  • Includes T-bolt hose clamps

We strive for the highest level of precision and quality through leading-edge product development technology including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer, and rigorous long term product testing.
