Is a Catless Downpipe Worth It for Your Audi 2.9T?

For C8 S6/S7 owners chasing turbo response and sound, a catless downpipe is one of the most impactful bolt-on mods for the platform, it removes the single largest flow restriction between the turbos and the rest of the exhaust.

Gains vary with tune and supporting mods — a software tune is required to see the power gains and to keep fueling/timing in check with the cats removed.

The removal of factory catalytic converters will trigger a check engine light. Software tunes are recommended to maximize the power gains. Although professional install is always recommended, the install time of this downpipe generally only takes around the 2 hour mark.
