However, this luxury comes at a substantial cost: 28 lbs. of rotational mass that dulls throttle response, hinders acceleration, and makes precise rev-matching more challenging. Moreover, dual-mass flywheels have proven unreliable for modified or tuned applications and are costly to replace when they fail.

Our Lightweight Flywheel for N14/N18 MINIs eliminates these drawbacks with a performance-centric design. This single-mass design tips the scales at a striking 18.5 lbs.—nearly 10 lbs. lighter than the OEM flywheel! By reducing rotational mass, this upgrade transforms your MINI’s driving dynamics with sharper throttle response, quicker acceleration, and improved clutch feel, bringing out the true enthusiast spirit of your MINI.

NOTE: This flywheel is specifically designed for use with OE or aftermarket unsprung clutch discs. On a stock MINI, engagement is dampened by the dual mass flywheel. Aggressive clutch engagement is to be expected when using an unsprung clutch disc in combination with a single mass flywheel. This setup can be used on daily drivers or track-focused builds
