When it comes to performance/handling there are few better upgrades as effective as an x-brace for the E36 chassis. The X-brace connects the subframe to the chassis of the car to improve strength, stability and reduce flex. When you think of the subframe you have to consider that it is not only helping support the engine but also the steering rack. With the added strength and rigidity you have a more solid connection for your engine and steering which results in a better steering feel and overall handling. Along with improved handling the Turner X-Brace covers the engine oil pan providing protection from damage.
Only a hand full of E36 models came with a factory equipped x-brace and the factory x braces do not compare to Turner billet brace. The Z3, E36 convertibles and the M3 LTW came equipped with a thin stamped steel construction x-brace for increased rigidity. The Z3 and convertible used the x-braces to make up for the lack of structure in the chassis while the M3 LTW used the x-brace to further improve its already rigid chassis. The E36 M3 LTW was a track focused homologation special that North America was lucky enough to get as an exclusive model (this never happens). Turner was looking for ways to improve the handling on the E36 chassis and decided to take cues from the best track E36 itself, the LTW.

All products sold by Eurosport Performance are warrantied against manufacturing defects according to the manufacturer's warranty policy*. Warranty does not cover abuse, misuse, damages caused from improper manipulation, normal wear and tear, improper installation, or damages resulting from racing. Warranties only apply to the original owner. If a product is found defective, the customer will receive, at the discretion of Eurosport Performance, a replacement part at no extra cost.
