BMW F90 M5's are equipped with the 600HP S63 engine, however the S63 shares a factory flaw with the S55, the notorious low hanging oil cooler. This poor design from the factory placed the engine oil cooler at the bottom of the car, right under the front bumper. Because of this, it is in a very vulnerable place. Road debris such as branches, rocks, tires, and trash, can easily puncture this low hanging oil cooler, and drain all of the engine's oil within seconds, ultimately causing catastrophic engine failure if the car is not immediately shut off. This problem has been well documented on the online BMW Forums, with damages being reported over $50k to replace the engine. Avoid the anxiety with the Turner Motorsport F90 M5 skid plate! Constructed of 1/8" 5052 Aluminum, and finished in a wrinkle black powder coat for a sleek underbody look. The main skid plate includes a frame mounted support bracket for maximum strength, and ties in oil cooler mounting locations for added security. It also retains the factory air duct for oil cooler, for full functionality. Painstakingly engineered to work with both the factory side splash shields, as well as the optional Turner Aluminum side skid plates. Factory wheel liner mounting positions are retained for OE like fitment. All stainless steel mounting hardware is included. Add the Optional 1/8” 5052 Aluminum Side skid plates, , to replace the plastic factory side splash shields, for maximum underbody protection! Features:

All products sold by Eurosport Performance are warrantied against manufacturing defects according to the manufacturer's warranty policy*. Warranty does not cover abuse, misuse, damages caused from improper manipulation, normal wear and tear, improper installation, or damages resulting from racing. Warranties only apply to the original owner. If a product is found defective, the customer will receive, at the discretion of Eurosport Performance, a replacement part at no extra cost.
