Constructed from 5/32" (4.0mm) thick 5052 aluminum and weighing in at only 18lbs our skid plate is sure to stand up to harsh road conditions that your OEM plastic belly pan could not. Our ECS Skid Plate encompasses the full length of the engine undercarriage from the front bumper cover to the front subframe to provide complete protection. Each kit includes zinc-coated steel subframe mounting hardware, aluminum skid plate spacers and replacement factory mounting hardware for trouble-free installation.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

• Our ECS B6/CC Skid Plate was designed, engineered, tested and quality inspected by our Research and Development team in our Wadsworth, Ohio facility. We strive for the highest level of precision and quality through leading-edge product development technology including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer, and rigorous long term product testing.

• Tested on multiple development vehicles for accurate fitment, our design encompasses a wide range of B6 Passat and CC trims including 2.0T TSI and VR6 engines, FWD and 4Motion drivetrains, Tiptronic, DSG and manual transmissions. We have not confirmed fitment on B6 2.0T FSI engines. 

INSTALLATION AND SUPPORT

• Designed to be a simple replacement to your belly pan, our Skid Plate removes and installs similar to OEM 4Motion belly pans that span the entire length of the engine bay, with the addition of our rear skid plate to subframe spacers. See our Installation PDF under the INSTALLATION Tab for more information. 

• Does NOT require any drilling or permanent modifications for installation. 

• Not all models utilize all 8 fender liner hole locations. This varies by model.
