Comp Turbo Technology Inc. (“CTI”) warrants the CTRX 45mm Wastegate to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal operating conditions for a period of two (2) years from the date of retail purchase.
During this warranty period, CTI will, at its discretion, repair or replace any covered wastegate that is determined to be defective, at no charge to the customer, excluding shipping costs.
2. What This Warranty Covers
This warranty applies to manufacturing related defects only, including:
Structural defects in the wastegate body, valve, or diaphragm
Manufacturing or machining defects
Defects in assembly (e.g., improperly installed internal components)
Premature failure of the valve guide, diaphragm, or actuator components under normal, recommended use
Any defect that prevents proper boost control operation and can be traced back to manufacturing or assembly error
Wastegates repaired or replaced under this warranty receive coverage for the remainder of the original warranty period.
3. What This Warranty Does NOT Cover
The warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from:
Incorrect installation, improper tightening of cap ring, or installation performed against CTI’s recommended procedures
Disassembly of the wastegate beyond recommended service steps
Use of non-CTI springs, diaphragms, or components
Modifications, porting, machining, polishing, coating, or anodizing performed outside CTI facilities
Damage caused by debris, foreign objects, or lack of maintenance
Racing accidents, collisions, fire damage, or any external cause not related to a manufacturing defect
4. Warranty Void Conditions
Warranty becomes void if:
The product is altered, tampered with, or disassembled improperly
Serial numbers or identification markings are removed or damaged
The wastegate is used beyond its intended operating pressure or temperature range
Failure occurs due to improper routing or omission of cooling lines (if used in high-heat applications)
5. Warranty Claim Procedure
To submit a warranty claim:
Contact CT to obtain an RMA Number (Return Material Authorization).
Provide proof of purchase (invoice, email receipt, or dealer order confirmation).
Send the wastegate to CTI’s inspection facility with the RMA number clearly marked.
CTI will inspect and test the product to determine warranty eligibility.
Approved warranty items will be repaired or replaced free of charge (customer covers inbound and outbound shipping).
6. Limitation of Liability
CTI’s liability is limited strictly to the repair or replacement of the wastegate. CTI is not responsible for:

CTRX 45 mm External Wastegate
Installation Instructions
Thank you for choosing the Comp Turbo CTRX 45 mm External Wastegate. This wastegate is designed for high-performance turbocharged applications and is suitable for street, strip, and motorsports use when installed correctly.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Professional installation is strongly recommended.
Ensure the engine and exhaust system are cool before installation.
Improper installation may result in boost control issues or engine damage.
Base spring pressure represents the minimum boost level achievable without electronic boost control.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
CTRX 45 mm Wastegate assembly
Pre-installed base spring (as ordered)
Additional springs (for tuning base pressure)
V-band connections (if supplied with your kit)
Multiple 1/8″ NPT boost reference ports
(Included hardware may vary by vendor—verify contents before installation.)
MOUNTING & PLACEMENT
Install the wastegate on the exhaust manifold or turbo collector, as close to the turbine inlet as possible.
Ensure the wastegate valve sees smooth, direct exhaust flow. Avoid sharp angles or dead-end placement.
Position the wastegate so the valve stem is vertical or angled slightly upward when possible.
Secure the wastegate using the V-band clamp(s) and ensure all connections are tight and centered.
SPRING CONFIGURATION
The wastegate ships with a base spring installed (example: 7 psi).
Base boost pressure = spring pressure only (no controller influence).
To change base pressure:
Remove the top cap carefully.
Add or remove springs as needed.
Reinstall the cap and tighten evenly.
Always ensure the cap and ring are fully seated and tight.
BOOST REFERENCE & PLUMBING
The bottom port should be connected to a boost pressure source (compressor housing or intake manifold).
The top port is used for:
Electronic boost control
CO₂ or compressed air control
Unused ports must be properly plugged.
Basic setup (spring-only):
Boost source → bottom port
Top port → plugged
COOLANT PORTS (IF EQUIPPED)
Coolant ports are optional and not required for operation.
If used, plumb into a low-pressure coolant circuit.
Do not cap coolant ports unless specified.
FINAL CHECKS
Verify all V-bands, fittings, and plugs are tight.
Confirm there are no exhaust or boost leaks.
Start engine and check for proper operation.
Monitor boost during initial test drive.
