At the heart of the Luft-Technik system is a high-precision, CAD-modeled aluminum heat shield. Crafted for a direct bolt-on fit on the TDI-equipped 4L Q7, this heat shield is finished in a durable wrinkle black powder coat that resists corrosion while adding a clean, performance-inspired aesthetic under the hood. Not only does the heat shield look good, it also does a fantastic job of minimizing heat intrusion. This provides colder, more stable IATs (intake air temperatures), feeding your engine cooler air for more power.

Inside the heat shield, you’ll find a massive 3” dual-cone high-flow air filter designed for maximum intake surface area and airflow efficiency. Our conical filter design doesn't just improve filtration—it significantly enhances the induction acoustics, delivering a bold and satisfying sound every time you accelerate.

The system includes a premium multi-ply silicone intake tube that replaces the restrictive, accordion-style factory tube. This smooth, high-flow path reduces turbulence and improves volumetric efficiency. A red-anodized CNC-machined billet aluminum adapter completes the system, providing a seamless and secure connection between the heat shield and intake tube for long-lasting durability and performance.

Our ECS Luft-Technik Performance Intake System was designed, engineered, tested, and quality inspected by our Research and Development team in our Wadsworth, Ohio facility. We strive for the highest level of precision and quality through leading-edge product development technology including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer, and rigorous long-term product testing.
