Overview

Factory motor mounts in 2013-2017 C7 A6/A7 vehicles use soft rubber compounds that deteriorate over time, causing excessive engine movement, drivetrain slop, and reduced power transfer efficiency. High-performance applications and aggressive driving accelerate this degradation, resulting in noticeable wheel hop, inconsistent launches, and compromised chassis dynamics.

TGK Motorsport motor mounts eliminate these issues through precision-machined 6061 billet aluminum construction and replaceable polyurethane bushings. This direct OEM replacement design maintains proper engine positioning while dramatically improving power transfer and drivetrain response across all RPM ranges.

What is NVH?

NVH stands for Noise, Vibration, and Harshness — the term used to describe how much engine movement, sound, and road feel is transmitted into the cabin of your vehicle. Stock mounts are designed to absorb and isolate these sensations. Aftermarket mounts are built with performance in mind, which changes that balance.

What to expect with aftermarket mounts

Increased vibration in the cabin

You will likely feel more engine vibration through the steering wheel, seats, floor, and gear shifter — especially at idle. This is normal and expected. The stiffer the mount, the more noticeable this becomes.

Improved performance and engine control

The trade-off for increased NVH is a more direct connection between you and the drivetrain. Engine movement is reduced, which improves throttle response, shift feel, and power delivery under hard acceleration.

Is this right for you?

Aftermarket mounts are well-suited for track use, spirited driving, or vehicles already modified for performance. Frequently Asked Questions Will these motor mounts increase cabin noise and vibration? The 65A street compound produces minimal NVH increase while the 80A track version adds moderate vibration. Both are significantly more refined than solid mounts while delivering superior performance. Can I replace just one motor mount or do I need both sides? You can purchase individual driver or passenger side mounts, though we recommend replacing both simultaneously to maintain balanced engine positioning and optimal performance characteristics. Can I change bushing stiffness later?  Yes, the serviceable design allows you to swap between durometers without removing the mount. Simply press out the old bushing and install the new one. Replacement bushings are available separately for easy upgrades or maintenance. What's the installation time and difficulty level? Professional installation takes a couple hours using basic hand tools. The direct OEM replacement design requires no modifications, though proper engine support during installation is essential. Will these work with my Stage 2+ tuned 3.0T engine? Yes, TGK motor mounts are specifically designed to handle high-output modified engines.

Warranties only apply to the original owner. If a product is found defective, the customer will receive, at the discretion of Eurosport Performance, a replacement part at no extra cost.
